Dennis Bailey Obituary

Dennis Lee Bailey, 73, of Hidalgo, IL. passed away at 5:30 am on March 3, 2023, at his residence.

Memorial services will be at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL will be assisting the family.

Dennis was born in Effingham, IL on July 7, 1949, to Chester and Mary (Fields) Bailey. He married Donella Matteson on May 5, 1985, and she preceded him in 2022. Survivors include his children; David Bailey, James Bailey, Amanda Bailey, Kara Bailey, and Kylie Bailey; grandchildren Zane Bailey, Gavin Bailey, Makenzi Bailey, Makenna Bailey, Jaclynn Bailey, Jaxdon Bailey and Zoe Bridges; sisters Kathy Edwards and Connie Marshall. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and daughter Jennifer Bailey.

Dennis served his country in the Navy from 1969 – 1971.
