Davey Yaw

Davey Yaw, 64, of Jewett, IL passed away at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his home.

Public visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Private family burial will be in the Aten Cemetery. Please come to visitation wearing your favorite Cardinal or Illini attire.  

Davey was born on December 12, 1956 in Effingham, IL the son of Vern and Nadene (Ferguson) Yaw. He is survived by his fiancé, Tina Dart; her children, Ashley (Adam) Mangin, and Haley Dart; mother, Nadene Yaw; grandchildren, Caleb, and Emma Mangin; sister, Carolyn (Leon) Sears; nieces, Becky (Jason) Chronic and Bethany Sears; and great niece and nephew, Gavin, and Khloe Chronic. He was preceded in death by his father.

Davey worked for the Jasper County Hwy Department for 30 years. He also helped his dad farm and worked for Grove Twp. for 12 years.
