Darrell "Lee" Newlin Jr.

Darrell “Lee” Newlin Jr., 55, of Teutopolis, IL passed away at 3:12pm on March 27, 2025, in Greenup.

 A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday April 2, 2025, with a memorial service starting at 7:00 pm, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family request casual attire.

Lee was born on August 12, 1969, to Darrell Lee and Carolin Jo (Eggers) Newlin Sr in Springfield, IL. He married Angie Powell on August 13, 2004. Survivors include his loving wife Angie; father Darrell (Bette) Newlin Sr; children Keiri (Michael) Brian, Kol (Ana) Newlin, Dalton (Allison) Kemper, Keila (Tyler) Aydt, and Kobey (Zoey) Newlin; grandchildren Ruby Newlin, Fox Brian, Briar Brian, and a 4th grandbaby expected in June; siblings April (Keith) Harris, Ronda Newlin, Michelle Gorbett, Carla (Steven) Garrett, and Kendra (BJ) Wilkins. He was preceded in death by his mother Carolin, and grandparents.

Lee worked for Blues Bros Inc. as a truck driver. He was an avid San Fransico 49er’s fan, loved fishing, and being outside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Cardinal Glennen Hospital or the Make-a-Wish Truck Convoy.
