Damon John Zucco, age 42, of Greenup, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
Damon was born May 12, 1978 in Mattoon, IL, the son of Gary and Karen Fulk (Howe). He married Amanda Kay Shobe on August 24, 1996.
Damon was a dedicated 24 year employee of Evapco Midwest in Greenup, IL and had a passion for farming. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending every moment he could with his family and friends. His unique talents led to the creation of masterpieces. Whether they be welded, wrenched, hammer and nailed or duct taped, Damon’s ability to fix or build were second to none. His beautiful smile and willingness to always lend a helping hand will forever be remembered.
Damon is survived by his soulmate and loving wife of more than 24 years, Amanda Kay Zucco of rural Greenup; Daughters Hannah Dae (husband, Lance) Holsapple of Greenup, Micah Rae (fiancé, Dylan Rhodes) Zucco of Rose Hill, and seven year old son Beau Garrett Zucco; Parents Gary and Karen Fulk, Greenup; Sisters Amy (husband, Jess) McMechan, Greenup and Michelle (husband, Lee) Shobe, Toledo; Father-and-Mother-in-Law, Loren and Sharon Shobe, Toledo; Three grandchildren, Hutson, Mia and Brogan Holsapple, Greenup; Grandmother, Maurine Howe, Casey; Nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Masks and social guidelines will be asked of all attendees. A private graveside service will be held at Tippett Cemetery on a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
In loving memory of Damon, memorials may be made to the Cumberland Backpack Ministry or the Cumberland Boomsticks youth shooting team.
