Cynthia Blanco Obituary

Cynthia (Markwell) Blanco, 70, of Greenup, Illinois formerly of Naples, Florida, passed away at 7:30 am on October 21, 2025, at the Cumberland Rehab and Health Care Center in Greenup.

Cindy was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on November 12, 1954, to Lyle H. and Martha Ann (Coombes) Markwell. Survivors include her son Eric Jon (Melissa) Markwell; daughter Rachel Hutton; grandchildren William Lyle Markwell, Ezra Hutton and Hallelujah Hutton; brothers Clark (Kay) Markwell, and Ray (Gladys) Markwell; sisters Marla Markwell and Deann (Brent) Brickzin; nieces and nephews: Sarah Hendrix, Jarod Markwell, Lori Kingery, Jennifer Markwell, Gina Markwell, Jesse Markwell, and Blake Brickzin. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law Richard Markwell.

Cindy was employed as a registered nurse at Naples Community Hospital and Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center during her 50-year nursing career. Memorials can be made to either Cumberland Rehab & Health care or to Donor’s choice.
