Charles William Dierkens, 88, of Greenup, IL passed away at 9:28 AM on August 9, 2020 at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Charleston, IL.

Private family services will be held at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery.

Charles was born on July 9, 1932 in Blissfield, MI to Julius & Reba (Potten) Dierkens. He married Connie Fisher on October 6, 1951. Surviving is his wife; son’s Billy (Rita) Dierkens of Toledo, Randy (Mary) Dierkens of Greenup; daughter Debbie (Larry) Perkins of Greenup; grandchildren Larry (Jennifer) Perkins, Angela Jamison (Todd Kemper), Stephanie (Antonio) Kilgore, Randy (Ashley) Dierkens Jr., Rudy (Dartha) Dierkens, Melanie Dierkens and Shad Dierkens; great grandchildren Antonio Kilgore Jr, Austin Jamison, Kayla Kilgore, Cameryn Carlen, Ally and Kallen Perkins, Chloe Kilgore, Alisha and Brian Chaney, Marion Chaney Jr, Zoe Chaney, Zachary, Adelynn, Elijah, Kaleb and Janessa Dierkens and 7 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters and one brother.

Charles was a farmer and worked at American Chains & Cables in Adrian, MI for 25 years. He loved his family, horses, and Detroit Tiger’s Baseball. Memorials can be made to the Pet Connection or to Alzheimer’s. Online condolences can be expressed at www.barkleyfuneralchapels.com
