Carolyn J. Phillips, 77, of Toledo, IL passed away at 7:45 AM Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Charleston, IL.

A private family graveside service will be held in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Sigel, IL. The Barkley Funeral Chapel Toledo is assisting the family with arrangements.

Carolyn was born on February 19, 1943 the daughter of Swingo Lisha and Easter May (Gray) Hollan. She married Ronald Phillips on April 29, 1962 and he preceded her on July 13, 2018.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Robert) Greer of Fisher, IL; son, Mike (Jennifer) Phillips of Toledo, IL; and son, Don (Vicki) Phillips of Charleston, IL; 6 Grandchildren, Jessica (Andrue) Zulueta, Joanna (Brady) Davidson, Adam (Haley) Phillips, Kayla Greer, Christopher Phillips, Jonathon Phillips, 3 great grandchildren, Kasen Davidson and Gideon and James Greer, 3 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren; and one sister Ruby Bettis of Holt, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Taylor, Leonard, Randolph, Mart, Miner and Jake; sister Lola and 2 great grandchildren (Colin and Matthew Greer).

Carolyn was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mattoon, IL.
