Carol Jo Sowers

Carol Jo Sowers, 47, of Urbana, IL passed away at 9:25 PM, May 3, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday May 6, 2021 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at a later date.

Carol Jo was born on October 24, 1973 in Effingham, IL to Victor H. & Debra (Stone) Sowers. She graduated from Jacksonville I.S.V.I. and was a member of the Family Worship Center. She is survived her mother Debbie Butts and fiancé’ Michael Jones; father Victor H. (Mary) Sowers; brothers Victor William “Bill” (Christina) Sowers and Nathan (Amber) Sowers; sister Renee (Larry) Himes; Grandmother Marge Golden; and her beloved support dogs Shaky and Marley. She was preceded in death by grandparents Frank Stone and Norma Mazure, Carol H. and Etta Sowers and Mark E. Golden; uncle Mark A. Golden and great nephew Dominic Sowers.
