Obituary

Carl Shupe, 84, of Greenup, IL passed away at 9:15 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at his home with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral chapel. Masonic services will be given at 7:00 PM. Burial with military rites conducted by the Cumberland County Veterans will be in the Greenup Cemetery.

Carl was born in Deer River, Minnesota on August 8, 1935. The son of James Leo and Clara (McCall) Shupe. He married Earlene Carl on March 3, 1956. Surviving are his wife; daughter Brenda (John) Cunningham; grandsons Mitch Morgan, Zac (Andrea) Morgan and Chris Cunningham; great grandson Judson Morgan; sister Evelyn (Carl) Starwalt; sister in law Toby Shupe; and many loving extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Vickie Marlene Shupe; brothers Jim and Walt Shupe; and sister Lois Carl.

Carl was truck driver for many years. After trucking he worked as an appliance repair man for about nine years. He was a member of the Greenup Presbyterian Church and the Greenup Masonic Lodge # 125.

Memorials may be made to the Greenup Presbyterian Church.
