Brenda M. Green

Brenda M. Green, 71, of Greenup, IL., passed away at 6:23 pm on Thursday October 26, 2023, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Memorial funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday November 2, 2023, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

Brenda was born on September 13, 1952, in Elgin, IL to Dale and Dorothy (Titus) Kirk. She is survived by her children Jennifer Green, Amanda (Mark) Devall, Benjamin (Melissa) Green. Seven grandchildren Dalton (Luna) Green, Jackson Green, Emily Hudson, Creed Hudson, Alli Mullinax, Connor Green, and Cayden Green. Five great grandchildren Aiden J Dake, Aiden G Carey, Andrew Day, Danton Green, and Delilah Brown. She is also survived by her former spouse Phillip Green, the father of her children and her sisters Anita Cutts, Marjorie (Butch) Shirley and Susan Shoot. She was preceded in death by her parents and great granddaughter Kinsley Green.

Brenda had a 35 plus year career in sales working for Heath Candy Company, Consolidated Communications, The Cromwell Radio Group, and was currently working at Adam’s Memorials.

Brenda always treasured time spent with her family and was always there when they needed her.
