Brenda Babb

Brenda Babb, 60, of Mattoon passed away at 9:55 pm on Wednesday March 20, 2024, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon.

Per Brenda’s wishes, she donated her body to science. Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.  Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Brenda was born on August 6, 1963, in Mattoon, IL, daughter of Milton H. “Jiggs” and Wilma Mamie (Baker) Thompson.  She married Lonnie Babb on May 28, 2012, and he preceded her in death in 2022. She is survived by her sisters Sarah Dierkens, Peggy Moritz, Trish Shaw, Bobbie Martin, and Linda Evans, and brother Milton Thompson Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sons Daniel and Kenneth Stewart.
