Betty Pauline Gast

Betty Pauline Gast, age 85, of Toledo, IL, passed away on May 22, 2022, at 9:26 am at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be on Friday May 27, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Friends Grove Quaker Church located at 1433 County Road, Toledo, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Friends Grove Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL is assisting the family.

Pauline was born on January 30, 1937, the daughter of Lester O. and Edna C. (Scholer) Fetters, in Cumberland County, IL. She married Emery H. Gast on January 15, 1961. She is survived by her husband; son, Jerry (Paula) Gast; daughters, Gloria Walters, and Penny (Terry Fiscus) Cribelar; brother, Orville (Debbie) Fetters; and sisters, Fern Johnston, and Marjorie (Randy) Lugar; brother-in-law, Kenneth Davison; grandchildren, Erica (Beau) Holt, Ashley Walters, Cody Walters, Chelsie Gast, Courtney (Dalton) Bauguss, Elijah Gast, Noah, and Brittany (Logan) Danielsen; Great-grandchildren, Adahy and Beau Holt. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister, Elsie Hoyle; brother, Benjamin Fetters, and brother-in-law, Wayne Johnston.

Pauline worked at Kerns Manufacturing, in Neoga, IL,  as a seamstress, for about 30 years and was a member of the Friends Grove Quaker Church. Memorials can be made to the Friends Grove Quaker Church.
