Berlin L. "BL" Neese

Berlin L. “BL” Neese, 72, of Greenup, IL passed away at 6:50 am on July 17. 2023, at his residence.

A Celebration of Life service will be from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturday July 22, 2023, at the Greenup VFW. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family with arrangements.

BL was born on November 28, 1950, in Denver Colorado, the son of Berlin and Charlotte (Drakeford) Neese.  Survivors include children Amy (Brad) Robertson, True Neese, and Heidie Obermeier; grandchildren Jordan, Austin, and Keaton Howard, Gage, Gavin, Haylee, and Jace Thompson, Lily Robertson, Zander Blane, Lexie Stratton, Echo and Noble Neese, Finn and Fiona Obermeier, and Anne Gold; sister Cheryl Nichols; and brother Wayne Neese. He was preceded in death by his parents father Berlin and mother Charlotte Delp, and daughter Emily Neese.

BL worked for RR Donnelly’s for many years before retiring. He loved fishing, rabbit hunting, mushroom hunting, and loved his loyal friend and companion, his dog Meesha.
