Alan Dunne

Alan Dunne, 66, of Suffolk, Virginia, passed away on September 1st, 2021.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday September 16, 2021, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Thursday at the church. Burial with Military rites will be in the Aten Cemetery Hidalgo, IL. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family.

Alan was born on May 20th, 1955, at Camp Lejeune, NC to Jim and Darlene (Davison) Dunne. Survivors include his father; brothers Brett Dunne, and Kirk Dunne; sisters Adrian Ruholl and Sarita Dunne. Alan was preceded in death by his mother Darlene and sister Cindy Lindsay.

Alan was employed as a Senior Millwright at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard for 39    years, and he served his country in the US Navy.  Alan and his brother Brett both served together as Hospital Corpsman at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.
