William Dale Ward

William Dale Ward, 72, of Greenup, IL passed away at 2:15 AM on November 22,2017 at Heartland Manor Nursing center in Casey, IL.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday November 25th, 2017 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral chapel. Burial with Military Rites by Cumberland County Veterans will be in the Greenup Cemetery.

Bill was born on July 7, 1945 in Charleston, IL to Melba Pauline Roberts. Surviving are children Steven Ward of Georgetown, IL and Shelli Ward of Danville, IL. Sister JoAnn Cortez; Brothers Raymond and Ralph Ward; 4 grandchildren Christopher Brooks, Doug Ward, Matthew Ward and Rachelle Ward; 2 great grandchildren Jayden and Anessa Baxter; nieces and nephews Tamara White, Garrett Cortez, Diana Gonzales, Kaylynn Garcia and E. J. Ward. He was preceded in death by his mother and two sisters Gloria Smith and Donna Francis.

Bill served his country in the Army during Vietnam. He worked for many years as an over the road truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion. Memorials can be made to the Heartland Manor Nursing Center. Online condolences can be expressed at www.barkleyfuneralchapels.com.
