William Vance Chancellor

William Vance Chancellor, 88, of Toledo, IL. passed away at 3:35 AM on May 22, 2019 at the Villas of Holly Brook in Charleston, IL.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday May 27, 2019 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be at the church from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday evening. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family.

Vance was born on September 3, 1930 in Charleston, IL to William & Fern (Hanner) Chancellor. He married Marilyn White on June 11, 1949 and she preceded him on January 19, 2009. He later married Anna Scales August 2009. Surviving is his loving wife; children Steve (Rita) Chancellor, Becky (Harry) Pugh, Tim Chancellor and Mark (Kathy) Chancellor; Step children Scott Scales, Roger Scales and Terry Scales; brother Don (Rosie) Chancellor; grandchildren Sarah (Dave) Collins, Michael (Lacey) Chancellor, Nathan (Beth) Pugh, Ryan (Claire) Pugh, Elizabeth (Brady) Smith, Katie (Chris) Dittamore, Lucas (Chandel) Chancellor, Jacob (Heather) Chancellor, Nick (Courtney) Chancellor, Amy (Charlie) Marlott and Mary Ann (Eric) Zumbahlen; Step grandchildren Callie Justice, Nikki Scales, Christopher Scales, Aaron Gast, Jason Yelton, Amber Scales, Riley Scales, Hunter Scales, Trivette Scales and Jenna Scales; 14 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild. Vance was preceded in death by his parents and son Daniel Vance; stepdaughter Cindy Yelton; step grandson Jordan; brothers Ray and Pete.

Vance retired after 42 years from All-Tel. He was a member of NRA; he was an avid Trap Shooter. Memorials can be made to Choices (Crisis Pregnancy Center) 260 W.
