Troy Carl

Troy Carl, 54, of Greenup, IL passed away at 10:08 AM Thursday, October 24, 2019 at his home with his family by his side.

A memorial visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Celebration of life services will be at 7:00 PM following the visitation. Burial will be at a later date.  

Troy was born on June 1, 1965 in Effingham, IL. The son of Harvey and Ruth “Poe” (Strader) Carl. He is survived by two sons Tyler Carl and Josh Carl; daughters Morgan Sparling and Katie Carl; two grandchildren Riley and Gracelyn; brothers Larry (Barb) Carl, Harvey “Bud” (Sis) Carl, and Randy “Tiny” (Jan Dobbs) Carl; and sisters Earlene (Carl) Shupe, Donna Kimble, Doris Houser, and Terri (Mike) Nickles. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Harlen and David Carl.

Troy worked for Fritts Fertilizer, McKinney Trucking and was a farm hand for several area farmers.
