Peggy L (Childress) Moses

Peggy L. Moses, 78, of Mattoon, IL and formerly of Toledo passed away at 3:15 AM on August 4, 2019 at Mattoon Rehab and Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday August 12, 2019 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to service time on Monday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Tippett Cemetery rural Toledo, IL.

Peggy was born in Chattanooga, TN on June 28, 1941 to Rueben Clinton & Jonnie Marie (Shaver) Childress. She married Everett Moses and he preceded her in 1996. Surviving is her daughter Theresa Manus of Mattoon; step sons Jim Moses and Robert Moses; grandchildren Harold Drum, John Drum, George Drum, Christina Drum, Harry Manus Jr, Brandon Drum and Justin Moses; great grandchildren Payton Drum, Tyler Drum, Kimberly Drum, Nakarri Drum and Raegan Drum; brothers David and Gene Childress and one sister Joyce Barnes. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother George Childress; sister Mary Helen and son Harold Drum.
