Marcia Watson

Marcia Louise Watson, 58, passed away on September 28, 2017. Marcia was born in Peoria, Illinois on January 12, 1959 to Caroline Shinkle Watson and Judge James Watson. Marcia is survived by her three daughters Claire Pugh (Ryan), Rachael Mintert (Cole), and Miriam Anderson, brother Charles Watson (Sarah) and sister, Liz Brudnak, as well as her 3 nephews and one niece. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved dog, Bugsy. 

Marcia loved her family dearly as well as the many colleagues and students she worked with over the 30 plus years she taught special education at the Neil Armstrong Center in Mattoon, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent, in her honor, to Camp New Hope, a camp she herself had been a counselor and where many of her former students attend. Camp New Hope PO Box 764, Mattoon, Illinois, 61938. A celebration of her life will be held at Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, Illinois on Thursday October 5, 2017 from 3-6pm (service at 6pm).
