John Anderson Freeman

John Anderson Freeman, 97, of Effingham, IL passed away at 3:45 AM on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday August 14, 2019 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM  Tuesday evening at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Janesville Cemetery.

John was born in Clay County, Illinois to John Anderson & Luella (Hoke) Freeman on July 23, 1922. He married Enda Faye Hardwick on December 2, 1947, she passed away on July 18, 1987. He married Helen Pedigo in June of 1988, she passed away in May 2006. Surviving are his four sons, Keith (Joyce) Freeman of Greenfield, IN, Tom (Debbie) Freeman of Mason, Michigan; Glen (Colette) Freeman of Effingham, IL and Fred (Norma Jean) Freeman of Clarksville, OH; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters June and Pearl.

John enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to be with family and friends and never wanted to miss out on a visit. He was a retired dairy farmer and retired from Fedders. Online condolences can be expressed at www.barkleyfuneralchapels.com
