James "Dick" Richard Kuhn

James Richard “Dick” Kuhn, 69 of Charleston, IL passed away on September 29, 2017 at his residence.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL on Wednesday October 11th 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be at a later date.

Dick was born in Hidalgo, IL to Joe and Betty (Dunne)Kuhn on January 11, 1948. Surviving are son Jeff (Kiersten) Kuhn of O’Fallon, MO and daughter Christa (Dr. David) Guilbeault of Glen Carbon, IL; Sister Linda (Max) Devall of Greenup; Brother Bill Kuhn of Mattoon, IL. And Six Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dick graduated from Cumberland High School and also Lakeland College, He worked as a mechanic for 35 years and for the Charleston School Dist. for about 10 years. In his spare time he was an avid NASCAR fan and loved old muscle cars. He was a member of the N.R.A. Memorials in his name can be made to the American Heart Assoc.
