Frieda Lavonne Taggart was born on August 11, 1930 in Clay City, Illinois and departed this life at the age of 88 years, 7 months, and 12 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, daughter Karen and son Robert. After graduating from high school with high honors she worked in banking for the next 46 years. On November 28, 1974 she married Harold Taggart. She and Harold became a great ministry team traveling the world preaching and teaching the unchanging Word of God to an ever changing dark world. She and Harold spent 46 years doing short term missionary ministry in the Indian Reservations in Arizona, California, and New Mexico.
Frieda would take a sledge hammer and drive tent stakes with Harold to get ready for tent revivals. After a long day working at the bank she would join Harold in driving over 200 miles each night for 5 to 7 weeks for the tent ministry. The next morning she was up early fixing breakfast and getting the children ready for school. She never complained because of hardships. She learned to turn her hindrances into stepping stones that took her and her family to success.
Frieda Taggart was an incredible wife, mother, and servant of God. Her life of integrity, character, and dedication modeled to the world how a Christian should live their lives. She is survived by her husband, Harold, daughter Vanessa Kohl, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Careful planning and hard work I reflected in a job well done. Frieda Taggart was God’s gift to us all.
