Erma Rojean Kemper

Erma Rojean Kemper, 82, of Greenup, IL passed away on December 6th 2017 at the Casey Health Care Center in Casey, IL.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday December 9th 2017 at the Greenup First Southern Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family.

Erma was born on November 19th 1935 in rural Greenup, Illinois, the daughter of Harry & Ruth Agnes (Down) Bolen. She married Herman Eugene Kemper on July 11th 1953. He preceded her in death on October 17, 2014. Surviving are sons Wendell (Terry) Kemper of Greenup, Tony (Susan) Kemper of Casey, IL; daughters Kathy (David) Puetz of Casey, IL, Nancy (Jerry) Martin of Collinsville, IL and Susie (Bob) Ray of Greenup; grandchildren Tina (Josh) Miller, April Dryden, Bridget (Bobby) Adamson, Heather (Brad) McElravy, Tony Martin, Steven (Jen) Martin, Autumn (Josh) Darling, Amanda (Adam) Groves, Dylan Kemper; great grandchildren: Rebecca, Jacob & Rachel Van Meter, Brandon & Trenten Adamson, Athena Martin, Macey & Mya McElravy, Riley, Keegan, Everett & Asher Groves; great-great grandchild Zayden Brummer. She was preceded in death by her parents; Two sisters and One brother; and great granddaughter Jocelyn Groves.

Erma was a homemaker and had worked at United Technologies for 13 years; she also sold Avon for many years. She was a member of the Greenup First Southern Baptist Church.

Due to a family member’s allergy, the family requests that no heavy perfumes/colognes are worn to the services. Memorials can be to either the American Cancer or Heart Association. Online condolences can be expressed at www.barkleyfuneralchapels.com
