David Lloyd Kemper

David Lloyd Kemper, 78, of Greenup, IL passed away at 9:10 PM on January 24, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Monday evening January 29, 2018 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at a later date.

David was born in Greenup, IL on April 17, 1939 to Forest and Georgia (Enyart) Kemper. He married Paula Hurst on November 10, 1985. Surviving is his wife; Sons Wes (wife Heather) Kemper of Greenup, Clint (wife Ashley) Kemper of Greenup; Daughters Kathy (husband Doug) Pugh of Toledo, Susan (husband Troy) Reed of Mode, IL; Step daughter Hollie Hurst of Mattoon; 10 grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

David was a construction worker and owned Kemper’s Lawn Care for many years. David enjoyed hunting and horseback riding; he was an avid archery 3D target shooter. He was member of the Cumberland County Sportsman’s Club, South Eastern Illinois Bowhunters Assoc. and the Plum Grove Church. Online condolences can be expressed at www.barkleyfuneralchapels.com
