Dallas William Parkhurst, 55, of Hidalgo, IL passed away at 12:00 PM on August 14, 2019 at Cumberland Rehab &Health Care Center in Greenup, IL.

Graveside funeral services with Military Rites will be at 10:00 AM at Aten Cemetery rural Hidalgo, IL. on Friday August 16, 2019. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family.

Dallas was born on September 13, 1963 in Effingham, IL to William Robert & Sharon Kay (Smith) Parkhurst. Surviving is his son Derrick Parkhurst; mother Sharon Parkhurst; foster parents Jesse & Marjorie Starwalt; one grandchild Keira Parkhurst; siblings John Parkhurst, Betty (Larry) Barbee, Timothy Parkhurst, Joseph (April) Parkhurst, Elizabeth (Reza) Nasserizafar, Gina (Terry) Hanratty, Lora Starwalt, Jesse “Homer” (Diane) Starwalt II, Andrea Fain and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dallas was a graduate of Newton Community High School, he served in the Army National Guard for 4 years. He worked for Howard Disposal Company for many years.
