Carol Ann Pierce

Carol Ann Pierce, 72, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 12:50 pm on August 10, 2018 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday August 14, 2018 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Burial will be at a later date.

Carol was born on September 18, 1945 in Robinson, IL to Kenneth & Virginia (Ransdell) Hampsten. She married George Pierce on January 16, 1965. Surviving is her husband; Sons Lloyd (Tami) Pierce and Mark Pierce both of Liberty, TX; Greg (Stacie) Pierce and Cory Pierce both of Cooks Mills; Daughter Beverly Scales of Hazel Dell; sister Nada (Terry) Young of Gays; Sister in laws Carol A. Pierce and Charlene Shirley; Brother in law Larry Harmon; Grandchildren Mikayla (Blake) Brown, Trevor Pierce and Emily Pierce, Amber Scales (Jason Stewart), Riley (Shalina) Scales, Hunter (Hannah) Scales, Trivette Scales fiancé Autumn Sowers, Kaitlyn (Avery) Gibson, Madelyn Pierce, Jordan Snyder, Morgan Minnis, Harley Pierce, Tripp Pierce, Rhyder Pierce, Pacie Hussong and Cody Monroe; Seven Great Grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and sister Sharon Harmon and one Grandchild Jordan Pierce.

Carol was a homemaker and had worked as a Teller at several Banks. Memorials can be made to the Cancer Center at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
