Betty Jean Kingery

Betty J. Kingery, 76, of Greenup, IL. passed away at 4:03 am on December 26, 2019 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday January 3rd, 2020 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday evening at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Jewett Cemetery.

Betty was born on March 12, 1943 in Lyndon Station, WI to Louis & Pearl (Casey) Bagnowski. She married Robert Kingery on April 11, 1980. Surviving is her husband; children Michele Harris (Bill Robbins) of Toledo, Michael (Lori) Kingery of Greenup and Christina Kingery of Greenup; grandchildren Amber Russell, Greg Russell, Erica Jones, Corey Jones, Brandy (Justin) Justice, Kayla Kestal, Taylor (Justin) Mitkus and Michael Palmer; great grandchildren Jackson, Jasper, Molli, Audrey, Olivia, Warren, Henry and Nora; brothers Bill Rich, Ernest Rich and Roger (Julie) Rich; sisters Catherine Meister, Mary (Ron) Fau and Irene Weaver. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Betty worked for Eastern Illinois Special Education in Martinsville for over 20 years. She loved helping anyone in need; she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards and baking her cinnamon rolls, pies and dinner rolls.
