Scott Stults

Owner & Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer

Scott is the owner of Barkley Funeral Chapels. He graduated from Cumberland High School in 1987 and then went on to graduate from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1990. He and his wife Lori, have been married for 36 years and have two daughters, Mckenzi (Jon) Easton and Sydney (Andy) Tipton. They enjoy spending time with their grandsons, Jax , Huck and Fischer Easton and Canaan and Colton Tipton. Scott enjoys riding his motorcycle and  gardening. Scott and Lori purchased the Barkley Funeral Chapels from Michael & Marilyn Barkley in 2008. Scott worked for the Barkleys for 20 years before purchasing the funeral homes. Scott was born and raised in Toledo, Illinois and loves serving his community in their time of need.

Tony McMorris

Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer

Tony graduated from Cumberland High School in 1987 and attended mortuary school at Vincennes University where he graduated in 1991. He resides in Newton with his wife Lisa of 32 years, his daughter Anna (Caleb) Hixon and son Brock. He enjoys fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his granddaughter Harper. Tony and his family attend the Central Christian Church of Newton. Tony is a 30 year member of the Greenup Masonic Lodge #125. Tony had worked part-time for Barkley's for many years prior to coming on full time in 2015.

Kristin Miles

Funeral Director Assistant/Funeral Service Attendant

Kristin is a 2007 graduate of Milford High School.  She attended Lake Land College where she continued her love for basketball.  Kristin and her family re-located to Toledo in 2020.  Kristin and her husband Eric have been married for 9 years and have 3 beautiful children: Kada, Tyson, and Kainan Miles.  Growing up with an active lifestyle, she and her husband stay busy attending all their children’s sporting events year-round and spending time with friends.    

Austin Light

Funeral Director/Embalmer Apprentice

Austin was born and raised in Toledo, the son of Doug and Nicki (Stults) Light. Austin was 2015 graduate of Cumberland High School. During this time he worked part-time for the funeral home. He then went on to attend Lake Land College and receive an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. After college Austin worked for Land of Lincoln Credit Union in Effingham and the Cumberland County Assessor’s Office, before deciding to go back to school and join the funeral home full-time. Austin is currently enrolled at Worsham College of Mortuary Science where he plans to graduate and begin his career as a Funeral Director.

                Austin enjoys being active in the community, helping with the Toledo Spring Festival and Christmas Around the Square. Austin is an avid sports fan who also likes to spend his free time playing golf, listening to music, and spending time with his friends/family.
